The From the Sea grouping was made as wall displays for the Harbor Pub in Honolulu.
These pieces are conventional photography dating from the 1980s. The images were made with view cameras using 4" x 5" Kodak color film. They have been digitized from the original negatives, and are are printed on acid free watercolor paper, using archival quality pigmented inks. The final print is then sprayed with a water-based protective coating, making possible framing and display, as one might do with a painting, without glass. Prints ranging from 8" x 10" to 24" x 30" and larger are, therefore, possible.
