Photo-abstracts are non-objective photographic pieces done as fine art for gallery and museum exhibition. They were intended as a melding of expressionist painting styles and photography.
The images were made with view cameras using 4" x 5" Kodak color film. They have been digitized from the original negatives, and are printed on acid free watercolor paper, using archival quality pigmented inks. The final print is then sprayed with a water-based protective coating, making possible framing and display, as one might do with a painting, without glass. now printable using archival quality ink jet technology. Prints ranging from 8" x 10" to 24" x 30" and larger are, therefore, possible.
